Lance was raised in Indio, California. A self taught film photographer who grew up in a 80's desert subdivision neighborhood. His work reflects his time interacting in L.A.’s neighborhood, city sprawl between 2014-2020. Meanwhile from 2015-2020, 3 hours South of L.A. in the canyons North of the Salton Sea, Lance would work on Gargantua, Part 1; A flipped perspective, in camera, double exposure series shot handheld on 35mm slide film. A rangefinder would often be brought on these trips, shooting B&W film of the landscape in traditional form. While living in Washington D.C. Lance would shoot his Field Work series, adapting to street photography in a new place and navigating the city highlighting a variety of raw newness, stiffness and the unpredictable nature of our nations capitol adding a mirage of his west coast style. Lance currently lives in his native home of the Coachella Valley shooting work on spiritual land and learning of mystical tales of locality and creation in the San Jacinto & Santa Rosa Mountains. His active projects include, “Wait For Me While I Wait” & “ Years After Tamaioit Fell”.
